Ms Yeung graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (honors) in 2019. With a great passion for serving students with special needs, during her university years, Ms. Yeung began to provide training and services to SEN students, she has also organised a series of experiential activities for SEN students in her voluntary service. Following graduation, Ms. Yeung started her practice in local NGOs with experience in different preschool services (Special Child Care Centre cum Early Education, and Training Centre, On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation). She has provided therapy to children with a diverse range of diagnoses, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, Global Developmental Delay and Physical Disabilities. In addition to preschool services, Ms. Yeung also provides occupational therapy to students in both mainstream schools and special schools. With extensive pediatric clinical experience, she understands the lives and needs of her clients at different developmental stages, which enhances the precision of the therapy. Ms. Yeung values the therapeutic relationship with her clients. She believes that treatment can only be effective if the therapist truly knows the client through a genuine connection. Besides, Ms. Yeung also values the collaboration and encourages communication between students, family and school. Apart from direct training, she has provided talks and recommendations on different situation to teachers and parents. She believes that a holistic and client-centred approach is the key to transfer the training effect to real life situations. Through the collaboration, real life interventions and modifcations can maximise students’ performance in different aspects of their lives.
