Cory Lee
Registered Occupational Therapist
Cory’s passion for occupational therapy is not just a profession, but a calling that resonates deeply with her personal values. She is passionate about working with people to unlock their maximum potential. She enjoys assisting individuals in engaging in everyday activities and developing life skills, enabling them to live more independently and lead more meaningful lives. Her journey began with a strong foundation in education, encompassing teaching, support, and project management roles across various educational levels, from tertiary to kindergarten. With over 12 years of experience, Cory has helped more than 3000 students to study overseas and has found herself deeply committed to helping individuals with special educational needs and various psychological conditions. Cory studied in the UK and resided in Northern England, London, and Southeast Areas, traveling to over 20 cities since 2004. She deeply understands the challenges faced by new immigrants and their families and aims to bring hope and support to them. Her time studying and living in the UK provided her with a wide range of experiences in multiple clinical areas and settings, including treating young adults with eating disorders and other psychiatric conditions. She also spent time in the hospital’s psychiatric rehabilitation department and the elderly ward. Cory initiated a range of individual and group therapy sessions in a community garden in Colchester, providing services to diverse groups of service users, including children, people with severe psychiatric conditions, retired older adults, refugees, and the LGBT+ community. As an Occupational Therapist in Hong Kong, Cory has embraced the diversity of her role, meeting the different needs of various communities from care homes to communities. She engaged in the work of supervising, training, and mentoring local OT students and other healthcare studies students during their clinical placements. Committed to ongoing professional development, Cory ensures current best practices through her involvement in training courses and attendance at various conferences including The OT shows, RCOT Annual conferences and WFOT Programs. She is always focused on finding the best practice solutions for her clients. Beyond her work, Cory finds fulfillment in learning, traveling, listening to people’s stories, watching documentaries, and exploring the connection between habits and health.
